Supporting Vulnerable Children
AWARE reaches out to children in deprived communities throughout India by using education as a way of transforming their lives for the better. It also provides street/runaway children and orphans with a protected childhood, so that they can go on to make well-informed decisions in life.

Trustees Visiting Our Projects
The AWARE trustees visited our projects in February. It was very emotional, but wonderful to see the amazing work AWARE is doing. It also highlighted what we need to do and who needs our help the most. Part of their trip was visiting the Kindergarten and residential hostel in Dhang. The trustees handed out chocolates kindly donated by @Nestle and Rajesh bought some games for them. Such a treat for these children which they thoroughly enjoyed 🤎

Donate to Educate a Child in Need
Your contribution helps provide access to education for children in need. Just £10 pays for two sets of uniform for a child, and £35 pays for a month of Kindergarten for all children ages 3-6 in one village. Every donation empowers a child to build a brighter future.

Kiran comes from a very poor tribal community, AWARE identified that he was academically gifted and paid for his education and accommodation in town. After 5 years at university he now works for ‘Care India’ fighting poverty and social injustice and also helps AWARE Foundation support the next generation of students in his home region.
"I have come forward in my life. AWARE has helped me a lot with my studies. I use to have no food, I couldn't pay my tuition fees and because of AWARE I have progressed and I am successful in my job. Thank you."
- Kiran
Kanu comes from one of the most educationally backward tribal communities - only two children from the village go to school. Kanu's father was sadly killed and he thought that he would have to be a labourer to support himself. AWARE heard of his academic promise and is funding him through university where he is proving to be an exceptional engineering student.
"Because of the money AWARE Foundation gave me, I have progressed forward, without it my studying would have come to a halt. The facilities in the hostel they put me up in were good. If I didn’t have the money I would have just stayed here. In the future I want to be a successful engineer."
- Kanu
